TCRC Recognizes Michaels Forgotten Angels

TCRC has acknowledged Michaels Forgotten Angels for the Community Service Award. This award was presented on September 19th at Pekin Country Club. We would like to extend our gratitude and thank TCRC for recognizing all the hard work that Michaels Angels has done. With the help of Debbie Burch, Michaels Forgotten Angels was created in 2007. Many people have dedicated their time and effort to see that the developmentally delayed community is well served. Thank you again TCRC, and a special thanks to those who have given to Michaels Forgotten Angels. God Bless.

Michaels Forgotten Angels 2008 Giving Tree Participants

We would like to express our gratitude to all of the businesses participating in this year’s Giving Tree: Jubilee Foods, MTCO, Heartland Bank/Germantown Hills, Curves/Metamora, Curves/Washington, Redbird Express, The Flame, Morton Caterpillar, Metamora Grade School, Metamora Township High School, and In To Video.

We have many volunteers already hard at work. Last year Michaels Angels supplied over 300 developmentally delayed individuals in Central Illinois with Christmas presents. The individuals who reside or are a part of TCRC, PARC, ADDWC, or BRIDGEWAY are the ones who benefit from this “Giving Tree” program.

Michaels Angels writes out all of the tags with a couple of items from everyone’s wish list. People take a tag, go and purchase the items, bring the tag back along with the present to the business in which you picked up. Then a week before Christmas all of the presents are delivered by volunteers from Michaels Angels.

Michaels 1st Annual Angel Classic Car Show

Didleys Car Hop is hosting its first car show to benefit Michaels Forgotten Angels on June 28th. Sign-in from 10am-Noon. DJ will be Mike Stechman with music starting at Noon. Many give-a-ways that day! To pre-register, please call 309-367-2105. Trophy presentation will be at 3pm. Come on out to Didleys Car Hop in Metamora and support a great cause!
